				How it began LiveTV was founded in 1997 with a singular mission: To combine the best of what we have in travel - the airplane - with the best of what we have in media entertainment - satellite television. It was a visionary idea, but given that commercial aircraft travel at speeds of 500 miles per hour and altitudes of 30,000 feet, it was chalked up by most as an impossible dream. Time has shown that impossible is no match for innovation, however. In April of 2000, commercial airline passengers watched live television programming in-flight for the first time in history. Since then, countless passengers have enjoyed the same experience, surfing through dozens of TV stations from their own seat, just as if they were home. And that has become LiveTV's defining goal in everything we've done since - to help every passenger feel At Home in the Air.
